World Health Organization's PHAN project

This project aims to increase Physical Activity Networking (PhAN) between interested organisations across Europe. We worked with key contacts in nominated Healthy Cities to increase the use of specific WHO tools, such as the Health Economic Assessment (HEAT) tool. The results will be used to provide evidence-based advocacy for physical activity promotion.

We have conducted audits of practice in various regions in the UK, and across Europe (for the health enhancing physical activity (hepa) Europe project. In the East Midlands and North West regions we conducted face to face interviews to find the extent of practice on the promotion of physical activity, and to collect case studies.
