• A national series of seminars to inform the development of the national walking strategy, on behalf of Transport 2000.

• A lecture to MSc Students on the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine’s Health Promotion Sciences course.

• An annual visiting lectureship to the University of South Carolina’s Physical Activity and Public Health postgraduate course.

• A keynote speech at a 2002 meeting of the Advertising Association.

• A presentation to the 2003 Velo-city cycling conference in Paris.

• A talk on transport and health at a Transport 2000 event in Newcastle.
